Myranda and Brandon’s wedding at the Alvord Desert in Eastern Oregon was one for the books. The boho decorations amongst the vast white desert was a sight most photographers only dream of getting to capture.
M + B chose to commit to forever in front of just their closest friends, family, and the empty desert. It was early September, there was a light gust of wind, and an absolutely perfect sunset. Myranda hand-painted the large vase that sat next to them as they said their vows. She wore an exquisite bohemian style dress that complimented her body perfectly. There wasn’t a dry eye in the desert as they sealed forever with a kiss.
Things to consider if you’re planning an Oregon Alvord Desert Wedding:
- The closest outside food or drink is in Fields, roughly 30 mins away. The closest town with hotel accomodations is Burns, about two hours away. Likely, you’ll want to pack in whatever you and your guests will need to eat/drink.
- It gets windy on the playa, real windy. During peak season, it can get extremely hot. Prepare for unpredictable weather by bringing clothes you can layer, a reliable tent (car, RV, or sleeping bag), extra water, sunscreen, and food. Also, bug spray- definitely bring bug spray.
