There is a Dry Canyon in Redmond, Oregon that is full of running trails, tall grass, and Juniper trees. It was the perfect location for this family session.
The Fraser family were winners of a free photoshoot giveaway I hosted a few months back. For this giveaway, instead of choosing people at random, I asked them to message me the reason why they wanted the photoshoot. Willow explained to me that she didn’t have any professional photos with her family. Her oldest baby was already two and a half at this point. To me, there’s nothing more important that capturing your babies while they’re still babies. So, I chose the Fraser’s with the intention of telling their story exactly as it is during this season of life.
Intentional Candids + Real Emotion
I made sure to let Willow and Chris know to bring toys, books, snacks, and blankets with them for this family session. It’s hard enough to keep toddlers happy, so asking them to pose or smile on demand is absolutely out of the question for me and will not happen during our session together. I will provide you with prompts that will illicit real emotions. I’ll have you play, and just hang out the way you would if I wasn’t there. With this approach, you’ll receive a gallery of intentional candids full of raw emotion.
